Multi-Culture Club is Monday at lunch in room C211.~ Join us this week for a celebration of the Italian Carnevale.

Europe travellers are reminded of their short meeting at 11.00 in C212.

There is a MANDATORY meeting for all Leadership Executive today at lunch in Mrs Janzen's room W123.

Manny Gill has won the Provincial Wrestling Championships this weekend here in Abbotsford.  He will be travelling to Toronto in April to participate in the Nationals.

Important notice for the Girls’ Rugby Team.  The exhibition game at Yale is cancelled due to field conditions.  Indoor practice today in the Pit at 3:00 pm.

Gursimran Gidda is to see Mrs. Tsuyuki at the beginning of lunchtime today.

Any Grade 9 students and LINK leaders who are going skating this afternoon please listen carefully to the following instructions.  Go to your Block D class so your teacher can take attendance, then meet in the cafeteria with your skates, coats, money, whatever you need.  We will leave for the rink at 1:15 from the cafeteria.  You must meet in the cafeteria so Ms Campbell can check off your name.

Attention all LINK leaders and Grade 9 students in Block D classes - If you would like to come skating on Monday, February 28 your signed permission slip must be returned to Ms Campbell by Friday, February 25.  If you need a permission slip come see Ms Campbell.

Grade 12 students are reminded that they have until February 28th to apply for early admission to all BC Universities.  And yes, you can still apply to UFV for next September, but hurry up.

Attention ALL GRADE 9 STUDENTS:  Please make sure you hand in your Personal Project forms to your D-Block teachers or to Mrs. Huff by February 25th (today) at the VERY LATEST!  Students who hand their forms in first will have the best chance of getting the Mentor Teacher that they have requested.  So again, ALL GRADE 9 STUDENTS please hand in your Personal Project forms to your D-Block teacher or Mrs. Huff today.

Grad Photo retakes have arrived.  Please drop by the office at lunch or after school to pick up.

Girls Rugby team – indoor practice today from 2:45- 3:45 in the new gym.  

Boys Rugby practice for this afternoon has been cancelled.

Senior girls soccer players...due to the fact that the fields are closed, the practice has been moved indoors into the new gym today.  Practice will run from 2:45 to 3:30.  Be in the gym ready to go at 2:45.

Panther Race Team meeting today right at the beginning of lunch time in room E101.  All members must attend.

If you intend to participate in the Spring Break 2012 tour to Ireland, England, and France, come to W119 on Thursday, February 24th at 11:00 for a short meeting.

Girls’ Rugby team – There will be a very short meeting at 11:00 this morning in room C219 to pick up shorts, socks and player packages.

Jr and Sr Girls Basketball players please return your uniform by the end of this week to Mr. Abraham and only Mr. Abraham.

Natasha Friesen – there is an envelope in the office for you to pick up.

Grad Photo retakes have arrived.  Please drop by the office at lunch or after school to pick up.

Any Band students wishing to go to Tower of Power must hand in their permission forms and money today.

Grade 9 and 10 students.  Please return Ms. Vinning’s permission form to your teacher.

Tomorrow is Pink Shirt Day!!  Pink shirt day was started in Nova Scotia four years ago when David Shepherd, Travis Price and their teenage friends organized a high-school protest to wear pink in sympathy with a Grade 9 boy who was being bullied…They took a stand against bullying when they protested against the harassment of a new Grade 9 student by distributing pink T-shirts to everyone in their school.  Let's take a stand against bullying tomorrow by wearing PINK!!!

Both our Senior Girls and Senior Boys will be hosting their last home game of the season today.  Senior Girls play at 5:30pm and the Senior Boys at 7:15pm.  Come out and support our teams.

The music department is joining forces with the Abbotsford Heat hockey team for their Feb 25th game.  Come out and cheer for the joint ventures of Hockey and Music.  Our own drumline and jazz band will play between the periods and the concert band will play the anthems.  Tickets are only $21 and part of the proceeds get bounced back to the program.  Find a music student or Miss Hasiuk for your tickets.

All Grade 12 students who had a Grad Photo taken, there is a package for you in the office.  Please drop by and pick it up.  Photo Order day is February 17th at lunch in the foyer.  Appointments for retakes are now being scheduled in the office.  Retakes take place Monday, February 14th and Tuesday, February15th.

There will be a HIB meeting at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, Feb. 9 in W119.

Congratulations to the Sr. Boys’ Basketball team for their Overtime victory against Bateman.  Final score 72 – 66.  Crucial baskets were made by Devon Brar, Joel Hand and Gavin Sarowa.  The team plays Chilliwack Secondary tonight at 5:00 pm.  A bus has been arranged to take the team to Chilliwack at 3:30 today and there is some space for fans.  Any fans interested, please be at the school at 3:20.  

Aboriginal students...there is a family gathering tomorrow evening at the Aboriginal Education Centre.  Everyone is welcome, so invite your friends and family to enjoy a free dinner.  See Lindsay in room N113 for more information.
