Congratulations to the Girlsí Rugby team for their dominating and determined 34 to 12 win over Lord Tweedsmuir. It was a total team effort with Kayla VanVeld, Junnaya Murphy and Natalie Teteris each scoring and Tiffany Picketts converting twice, as captain Maegan Pauls was Player of the Match. The Panthers hose a Fraser Valley playoff game next Tuesday.
All rubgy players going to Yale for the 7ís tournament today are asked to get changed immediately and report to the front of the school now!
Congratulations to the track and field team at the Abby/Mission Championships. The team did very well with no athlete finishing lower than 6th place. Notable mentions go to Brittany Larson who is the JR girlsí champion in both Long Jump and Triple Jump and with a jump of 9.44m put her second in the district at the senior level for triple jump. Tiffany Picketts who is the Abby/Mission JR champion for shotput is also not only the JR champion at discus but also the senior girls champion as well. In the Jr. girls team division, with only 5 athletes, they placed 3rd in over all points. Great job by all athletes and wish them well for the upper valley eliminations next week.
All Grade 12 students who have or will apply to post secondary schools next year are reminded that they must go to the Ministry of Education website and release their transcript electronically. Written instructions and help available from Mrs. Doan.
