Due to the Pro-D Day this Friday, the Abbotsford Collegiate Prayer Group will be hosting this week's Quest series, today and Thursday at lunch in Portable #3.

If you are planning to take Student Leadership 10, 11 or 12 or Peer Tutoring 12 next year please make sure you have filled out the application form and returned it to your counsellor by March 31.  If you need an application please see your counsellor.  You will not be enrolled in the course without a completed application form.

Grade 12 students are reminded to self report your interim and final grades to U. Vic and UFV online by March 31st.  If you need assistance, see Mrs. Doan with your student number.

If youíre going to UFV next year, you can sign up in the counseling centre for a 15 minute one on one advising session on Thursday, April 1st with a UFV Educational Advisor.  Limited spots between 11:00 to 1:00.

Attention Senior Choir ñ there is NO rehearsal today after school BUT you must come at 2:40 sharp for a 5 minute meeting.  Be on time, please!

To music students:  Purdyís is ready to take home.  Come see Miss Hasiuk.

This is a reminder to all Abbyís Got Talent finalists, organizers and hosts that there is a meeting tomorrow, Thursday at lunch in S210.  Finalists must be there with their music or not be in the show.

Regional Skills Competitions take place today at several sites in the Fraser Valley. These Abby Collegiate students will be competing today in order to advance to the Provincial level.

DUE TO EASTER LONG WEEKEND, THERE WILL BE NO SATURDAY SCHOOL SCHOOL THIS SATURDAY

Reminder to all LINK leaders about the meeting at lunch TODAY.  Read over the white activity sheet,  gather the materials your group will need and come prepared to work.

Battling wind, rain, and hail, the boys struggled with a slippery ball at Aldergrove today.~ With tries from Dallas Yassinsky, Tanner Storoshenko, and Joe Klassen, the team came back to tie the game at 15 all after being down 15-10.~ Congratulations go out to all who braved the insane weather and earned a point today.~ Player of the Game goes to Tanner Storoshenko for his continued hard running and consistent try scoring.
Come out and support the junior panthers when they take on Hansen tomorrow on the oval.

Attention Music Students ñ Purdyís orders are in.  They will be ready to pick up in the music room by the end of the day.

Yearbooks are going fast.  Pre sales are now over.  There will be some extras ordered.  To guarantee you get a copy this year, you will need to prepay at the office.  Cost $60.00.

Reminder to anyone who judged Abbyís Got Talent auditions, there is a meeting today at lunch in Mr. Fetterlyís room.  To all competitors, the list of finalists will be posted on the dance room door at the end of lunch today.

The leadership class is giving away Easter chocolate in the cafeteria today.  If you want to win solid chocolate bunnies and chocolate eggs all you have to do is show up and be ready for the challenge.

The Senior Girls Soccer team plays Bateman today at Saddle Park.  A reminder to all players that your bus to Saddle Park leaves at 2:15 today.  Our game time might be moved up to 3:00.

Basketball 3 on 3 intramurals starting next week.  Sign up your teams on the list outside the office.  You can have a max of 4 to a team.

Today at lunch in Portable #3, the Abbotsford Collegiate Prayer Group will be continuing the hosting of a DVD series called Quest.~ Quest is designed to get young students talking about spiritual matters.  Everyone is welcome to come along on the Quest for Truth.  

Abbyís Got Talent auditions today at lunch.  Come out and show us your talent!

Saturday School is on for tomorrow.  If you are failing one or more courses you need to be there at 9:00 sharp.  Bring enough work to last until 11:30.

On the good news front, the Girlsí rugby team began league play with a convincing win over Earl Marriot.  Final score was 36 ñ 5 for Abby.  Lauren Arthur had a brilliant game as stand off and scored a try.  Tiffany Picketts was a beast at #8 and scored a try.  Tries were also scored by captain Meagan Pauls, 2 by Natalie Teteris and get ready for thisÖ..Jacquie Tourand who rucked like a machine almost scored another.  Kayla VanVeld had her best game of the year and finally, Player of the Match was awarded to Amanda Labbe, playing the entire game at scrum half.  Great job team!!

Anyone interested in participating in the District Public Speaking competition in April is asked to see Mrs. Varnes as soon as possible.  Three contestants from our school will compete against other schools in the district.  You donít need a finished speech now, but itís time to start writing.

Our Junior Boys Rugby team played a strong game against Brookswood yesterday, winning 37-5. Tries were scored by Tanner Storoshenko, Dillon McGuire, Dallas Yassinsky, Joe Klassen, and Jeremy Pauls. Dillon McGuire earned player of the game status with three tries, and some great defensive play.  A reminder of the "Chalk talk" in E105 immediately after school.
Our senior boys are playing today against Fleetwood Park on the oval at 4.  Please come out and support.

Students participating on the field trip to UFV to see Shakespeare's 'A Midsummer Night's Dream', we will be meeting in the front foyer at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 24th.  The bus will depart at 11:10 am, with or without you, and there are no refunds on your ticket.  If you have not yet handed in your form or if you have any questions, please see Ms. MJ ASAP in W119.

Abbyís Got Talent auditions start this week in the dance room today, Thursday and Friday at lunch.  Come out and show us your talent!

Important notice to anyone interested in going on the trip to Europe next spring break. Mr. Cornies and Mrs. Janzen will be holding the parent's meeting tonight at 7 pm in the music room. If you're interested in signing up to see Germany/Austria/Hungary and the Czech republic, see Mr. Cornies today at lunch in the music room.

Semester 1 Honour Roll is finally posted outside the office.  Congratulations to all students who attained Honour Roll status.

Our Junior Boys Rugby team played a great game against Mouat yesterday, winning 22-19. In a great team effort, tries were scored by Paul Song, Jordan Johnson, and Dallas Yassinsky, one conversion by Jeremy Pauls. Our forwards put in a great effort, out-rucking the Hawks and creating good, clean possession for our backs. With two tries and some inspired play, Dallas Yassinsky earns player of the game.

Grade nine Aboriginal students...if you did not attend the meeting yesterday, there will be another short, but very important meeting today at the beginning of lunch in the library computer cove.

Congrats to the Girlsí Rugby team for their 29 ñ 14 win against Heritage Park.  Meagan Pauls and Jade Cross each scored tries, with scrum half and player of the match, Junnaya Murphy adding 3 more.  Honourable mention to Jessica Sabourin, playing prop and Shelby Pihl who connected on 2 converts.  Lauren Arthur, Tiffany Picketts and Natalie Teteris all had excellent all round games.
